COMMON PROBLEM CAUSE IN WINDOWS:

1.       Problem  :  Frequent Reboots or Windows restarts frequently.
Causes :  This problems due to faulty of both Hardware and Software. As far as RAM is
concerned it can be cause due to electrostatic discharge (ESD), over heating, corrosion
of contacts, module mismatch or faulty power supply.
Soln : Remove the memory module for damage due to ESD, clean the surface of the memory
module and socket and re-insert it, Use high end SMPS to eliminate faulty power supply.

2.       Problem : Registry Error – Windows prompts to restart and restore the machine stating a
                  registry error.

Causes : Its mainly due to faulty of RAM as windows writes large part of its registry into RAM so,
it prompts the users to restart and restore the system.
Soln. : Replace with a new RAM which is known to you as working.

3.       Problem : Memory failure at Ox44AE44683C
                  Memory verification error at  Ox00FC3588AE

Causes : This errors are normally cause when the computer could not received expected data/value from the
RAM and is normally due to defective module/mismatch.

Soln. : Use only one Module RAM at a time, if problem persist then change with a new module.

4.       Problem : Himem.sys error – himem.sys has detected unreliable memory address at 001003A44

Cause : This is either corrupt of himem.sys or RAM module not meeting the board specification as the
himem.sys file is a program that controls system access to RAM and is suppose to load with
             config.sys.

Soln : First replace the RAM module and try it out and if it doesnot work then do the following:

Boot the system with  bootable disk at C:\>  type as
          C:\> copy himem.sys C:\windows
          Then press enter key
If you encounter the problems in rebooting the system then edit himem.sys and make sure that the line
           contain DEVICE=c:\windows\himem.sys
Save the edited file and reboot the system.
