Windows - Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Service Terminated
Message : This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off.
Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT
Authority/system. Message: Windows must now restart because the Remote
Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.
Soln :
a) * Right-click My Computer icon on desktop.
* Click Manage.
* In the left pane, double-click Services & Applications.
* Click Services
* In the list of services that appear, locate the Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
service, with a Status of "Started".
* Right-click the first RPC service listed.
* Click Properties.
* Click the Recovery tab.
* In the drop-down lists, change First failure, Second failure, and Subsequent
failures with Restart the Computer.
* Click Apply and then OK.
This is normally cause by worm called W32.Blaster.Worm and you have to remove this
worm so that you face no error in future and this can be done by any W32.Blaster.Worm
removal tool (Antivirus).
