How to Create a Primary Partition
1. Click Start and then Control Panel.

3. In Administrative Tools menu, double-click Computer Management.

How to Create Extended Partitions
1. In Disk Management, right-click unallocated space to create the extended partition and
select New Partition.
2. On Welcome page for Create Partition Wizard, click Next.

How to Create Logical Drives

the logical drive is to be created and click New Logical Drive .
2. On the Create Partition Wizard, click Next.
3. On Select Partition Type page, click Logical Drive and then click Next.
4. On Specify Partition Size box, enter the size in MB and click Next.
5. On Assign Drive Letter Or Path page, choose available drive letter and
click Next.
6. On Format Partition page, click Format This Partition.
7. Select a file system and then assign a volume label and Click Next.
8. Click Finish to create and format the logical drive.
