HOW TO SET LAPTOP & DESKTOP POWER SAVING STATE i.e. SLEEP/HIBERNATION



  1. Click start _ Control Panel
  2. Click System and Security - click Power Options.
  3. Cclick Change plan settings.
  4. Click Change advanced power settings.
  5. Double-click Sleep - double-click Sleep after, and then do one of the following:
·         For a laptop, click On battery or Plugged in (or both), click the arrow, and then click Never.
·         For a desktop computer, click Setting, click the arrow, and then click Never.
  1. Double-click Hibernate after, and then do one of the following:
·         For a laptop, click On battery or Plugged in (or both), click the arrow, and then click Never.
·         For a desktop computer, click Setting, click the arrow, and then click Never.
  1. If you also want the display to stay turned on, double-click Display - double-click Turn off display after, and then do one of the following:
·         For a laptop, click On battery or Plugged in (or both), click the arrow, and then click Never.
·         For a desktop computer, click Setting, click the arrow, and then click Never.
  1. Click OK, and then click Save changes.
